The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona, is seeking a Rehabilitation Medicine Physician to join our practice.
The department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation consists of seven board certified Physiatrists. We have a busy outpatient practice with a wide breadth of diagnoses. Providers are also responsible for the 7-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. This Joint Commission accredited facility is the primary referral location for patients from the 286-bed Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Our experienced physical and occupational therapy practice offers specialized certification in the following: Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Geriatric, Neurology, Lymphedema and Hand Therapy.
There are several practice locations including: the main Scottsdale Clinic, two family medicine facilities and three clinics at the Phoenix hospital campus. In 2016, there will be an expansion on the Phoenix Campus offering a state-of-art multi-disciplinary facility. Additional services will include a comprehensive Cancer Center with Proton Beam therapies, Lung Transplant and Sport Medicine. Hallmarks of our practice include collegial relationships across disciplines, a well-recognized multi-specialty care model and a philosophy that the needs of the patient come first.
Candidates must be board eligible or board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with advanced fellowship training and board-certification/board eligibility in your area of specialization. This position will assist in supporting a growing neuroscience and spine practice in the PM&R practice while working closely with the departments of Neurosurgery, Pain Medicine and Orthopedics. The department is seeking an individual with a strong interest in a clinical position with teaching and research opportunities. This position includes an academic appointment with the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
