Coastal Hospice is seeking an energetic and experienced executive with a health care background to serve as our President. The right candidate must be able to build and model a great culture, provide inspired servant leadership, establish a two way working relationship with the board of directors and set a course for short and long term strategy. The President is accountable to our patients and their families, our team members, the board of Directors and the community we serve, and Coastal Hospices mission and values. Overview of our History Coastal Hospice is a non-profit Hospice and Palliative care provider serving four counties on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We began operations in 1980 and have grown to an organization employing over 200 employees and 200 volunteers and have an average daily census of over 200 patients. We provide hospice care to patient homes, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, in addition to our inpatient unit and separate hospice residence near Ocean City, Maryland.
Key Presidential Responsibilities: -Provide inspired leadership for our staff. -Develop Coastal Hospice’s culture and overall vision in order to sustain our position as the leading Eastern Shore hospice provider. -Create an environment that promotes and measures great performance and positive morale. -Represent Coastal Hospice to the local non-profit community, stakeholders, key policy makers at the local and state level, fellow hospices and the media. -Oversee and assure fund raising activities are goal and mission driven with a clear utilization plan for the income generated. -Assure legal and regulatory compliance. -Develop, in collaboration with the CFO, operational revenue and expense parameters. -Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations that produce mutual benefits. -Develop, maintain and modify as necessary a multi-year business plan to support strategic objectives determined by the board of directors. -Assure that the organization has sufficient risk management and personnel policies in place. Knowledge and Skill: -Convey passion for the mission and vision of the organization to the staff and volunteers, board, and donors. -Demonstrate executive presence through authenticity, integrity, humility and confidence. -Build a cohesive and positive team environment.

Desired Background: -Four-year undergraduate degree, preference to Masters level degree. -Significant health care or related industry experience. -Demonstrated leadership performance and quantifiable accomplishments in previous employment. -Demonstrated innovative and motivational achievements.
