Residency Program Coordinator-Family Medicine Full Time Day Shift Central Campus This position manages and oversees the Family Medicine Residency Program. Includes assisting the program director and associate directors in the development and implementation of the family medicine residency-training program. Coordinates the recruitment of new residents and manages the residency application process via ERAS. Demonstrates responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the residency program, academic growth, personal guidance and well-being of its residents in training. Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in applying detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions and management structure of the residency by organizing and independently prioritizing work, establishing procedures and ensuring the orderly and timely flow through the residency. Participates in budget review and financial processes.
Responsible for coordinating rotations at multiple sites, keeping up-to-date with ACGME accreditation requirements and submitting rotation contract/PLA requests.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Strong management and social skills; Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work independently; Accurate judgment in making decisions and handling new problems; Ability to exercise considerable discretion, initiative and resourcefulness in carrying out assignments and in solving problems; Advanced communication and organizational skills; Advanced electronic communication skills; Advanced computer literacy skills, working knowledge of New Innovations residency management system. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 years admin support experience. At least 2-3 years of related experience in a Graduate Medical Education residency program. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must be proficient with commonly used office software and computers.
