This Orthopedic Centralized Scheduler position is responsible for pre-registering and scheduling patient appointments for assigned services to the appropriate location with appropriate providers. This is done by handling inbound and outbound calls for orthopedic services within the MHealth Fairview and U of MN orthopedic care system for Physical Therapy, Hand Therapy, Podiatry, Surgical and Non-Surgical Orthopedic consults and visits.
Answer all incoming calls presented in a quick and timely manner Help callers by redirecting calls to appropriate area for services. Receive requests for information and insure that materials are distributed in a timely manner. Schedule and pre-register all patients in area assigned in an efficient manner and with correct caregiver. Be present, polite, and patient. Ensure designated calls and orders received are processed accurately and with the correct department -- insuring correct scheduling of patients per physician request. Other duties as assigned
Excellent attendance is a must. Previous call center work experience preferred. Previous medical, clinical, orthopedic experience preferred. Previous Epic scheduling and registration preferred.
Excellent Customer Service is necessary.
