Dignity Health Medical Group is actively seeking a highly patient-centric physician to serve as a colleague in the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology - DHMG in the Department of Womens Health, Obstetrics & Gynecology at St. Josephs Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Located conveniently in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 571-bed, not-for-profit hospital that provides a wide range of health, social and support services. Founded in 1895 by the Sisters of Mercy, St. Joseph's was the first hospital in the Phoenix area, is the flagship hospital of Dignity Health, and a member of CommonSpirit Health, the largest not-for-profit health system in the US. More than 125 years later, St. Joseph's remains dedicated to its mission of caring for the poor and underserved. The Dignity Health Cancer Institute is a new, 220,000 square foot dedicated, comprehensive, outpatient cancer center on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, approximately 2 miles from St. Josephs campus. Every day, approximately 20 percent of the hospitals patients have traveled from outside of Arizona and the United States to seek treatment at St. Josephs. U.S News & World Report routinely ranks St. Joseph's among the top hospitals in the United States for neurology and neurosurgery. In addition, St. Joseph's boasts the Creighton University School of Medicine at St. Joseph's, and a strategic alliance with Phoenix Children's Hospital. The Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) physicians group provides our hospital system with full inpatient OBGYN services as well as consultative services for other medical specialties. In addition, they participate in the full scope of outpatient and surgical services. This includes minimally invasive gynecology and use of the DaVinci robotic surgical system. Our Gynecology Services at St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center are ranked 19th in the nation, by US News and World Report 2018-2019 and St. Josephs Hospital and Medical Center was ranked in the Healthgrades Top 50 Hospitals for 2021.Our academic hospital provides teaching and research opportunities in our integrated care model. A leader in the Phoenix and Valley Region of Arizona in Womens Services, the DHMG OBGYN Division offers in-patient as well as outpatient services within offices throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. With direct collaboration with our colleagues at Phoenix Childrens Hospital, we offer care collaboration and coordination of care for all high risk conditions with our Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. In addition, we have a close relationship with DHMGs Center of Pelvic Pain and Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery. We also offer complete Certified Nurse Midwifery services. St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a Regional Perinatal Center which provides Level 4 Obstetrical Care, with approximately 5000 deliveries/year, housing nationally ranked and internationally renowned neurology/neurosurgery, and high-performing heart and lung transplantation services, and a level 1 trauma center. The Level IV NICU has over 60 approved beds and ECHMO. The Division works closely with Phoenix Children's Hospital which is the fifth largest Children's Hospital in the country and nationally ranked in all 10 sub-subspecialty areas evaluated by US News and World Report. Through the Creighton University School of Medicine (CUSOM), the DHMG Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology will continue to provide educational enhancement to medical students who rotate through the St. Josephs Hospital campus in sunny, Phoenix, Arizona. St. Josephs Hospital currently provides educational instruction to over 35 OBGYN residents in our Creighton University Arizona Health Education Alliance.
