This position is eligible for the EDRP, a student loan reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirement and submit your application within four months of appointment. The final award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) is determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services office. This position may be eligible for a Recruitment Incentive. Surgical procedures, with required expertise in in all areas of Orthopedics including: Arthritis disorders, degenerative arthritis of shoulder and knee, Injuries and metastatic lesions of the musculoskeletal system, knee injuries, shoulder injuries, hip injuries, foot and ankle injuries, shoulder surgery, hand surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery, total knee replacement, total hip replacement, and other general orthopedic surgeries and joint procedures performed by general or specialty orthopedic surgeons. - Supervision/teaching of surgical residents. - Providing consultation in an outpatient clinic setting and on inpatient wards. - Participation in committees. - All other duties as assigned, pertaining to this occupation, to meet the needs of the Agency, Department, Facility, and/or Service. Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday; 8:00AM to 4:30PM; however, subject to change, depending on the needs of the service/medical center.
