This position is located at the Knoxville Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, Knoxville, TN and supports the Network Mission to care for our Veterans with compassion and excellence. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care. This is an open continuous announcement. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and qualified candidates will be considered as vacancies become available. Applications will remain on file until September 30, 2021. The selected candidate will follow established guidelines, ethics, and policies and protocols of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the profession. Each Orthopedic surgeon functions as a cooperative and collegial team member with the entire staff. If selected, your basic responsibilities will include: Delivering the best possible orthopedic care to our Veteran patients. Providing all areas of general outpatient orthopedic care. This position will include outpatient procedures and may include some pre-op and post-op care. Maintaining good diagnostic, judgmental and therapeutic acumen. Timely documentation (notes and encounter forms) in accordance with facility policy. Serving as leader and/or active member on Medical Center committees, as requested.
