The California Primary Care Association is launching a search for its next President & Chief Executive Officer.
The California Primary Care Association (CPCA) was formed in 1994 with the mission of leading and positioning community health clinics, health centers, and networks through advocacy, education, and services as key players in the health care delivery system to improve the health status of their communities. Today, CPCA has become a statewide leader and recognized voice representing the interests of California community health centers (CHCs) and their patients. The association represents more than 1,380 not-for-profit CHCs and regional clinic associations across the state, who provide comprehensive, quality health care services, particularly for low-income, uninsured, and underserved Californians who might otherwise not have access to health care.
Over the past 25 years, CPCA has enjoyed immense success and has grown into one of the most powerful primary care associations in the country. The Board seeks a President & CEO who is committed to advocating for the health centers and communities its members serve, who pushes the association to grow, and who brings a palpable love and passion for the mission of the organization. This is a critical moment locally and nationally in the evolution of our healthcare models, and effective, visionary leadership will be paramount to the success of CPCA, its members, and the patients it serves. The next CEO will take the helm of the largest primary care association in the United States, working alongside experienced and committed leaders who are focused on delivering accessible health care to over seven million patients across California – one in every six residents in the state. With a reach of this size, the new CEO will have the opportunity to lead the state—and the nation—in defining exceptional healthcare for its most vulnerable populations.
