Gaylord, a 137-bed long term acute care hospital, located in central CT, has an opportunity for a hospital-employed staff Physiatrist, providing inpatient and outpatient care and inpatient PM&R consults for medically complex patients. You'll work with an outstanding team of physiatrists, physical, speech, and occupational therapists, and a full range of specialized services along with becoming a charter member of the faculty for the only PM&R Residency in Connecticut. Outpatient responsibilities for this position will include Gaylord’s Concussion Clinic as well as care for variety of other neurologic and musculoskeletal patients. Experience with interventional procedures including ultrasound guided injections is preferred.
5 day work week, on-call weekends by beeper on a rotation basis with other physiatrists on average every 5th weekend

Gaylord is the only institution in Connecticut with CARF specialty accreditation for Spinal Cord System of Care and Stoke Specialty programs and is a member of the New England Regional Spinal Cord Center which is one of 14 Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems in the U.S.
