Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Groups and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital have an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon to join their employed medical group located in Darby, Pennsylvania.
The Colorectal Surgeon will be part of a collaborative and growing team made up of two Bariatric/General Surgeons and one General Surgeon. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to develop a colorectal practice in an environment set up for success. Support is provided by 24/7 Intensivists, a large Hospitalist staff, and a cancer center on campus.
Call coverage is 1:4 but will continue to grow as they build the team and includes weeknights and weekends with holiday commitment. The team currently has the Xi robot. Medical Group and hospital EMR are EPIC.
Additional responsibilities include performing scheduled, and when required, unscheduled outpatient services in a medical practice setting on campus; performing scheduled surgical services or other procedures two to three days per week or as required; and attending/rounding on all Colorectal/General Surgery inpatients as necessary, performing preoperative workup for patients and obtaining consents.
Applicants must be a MD or DO, Board Certified in General Surgery and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Colorectal Surgery, fellowship trained in an accredited colorectal program with advanced laparoscopic/robotic surgical techniques, and an unrestricted active Pennsylvania license.
